My First Clickbank Check

One year later, after trying MSS, getting distracted, dejected, depressed, and disappointed, then trying other products, but little by little building on what I learned from MSS, I am proud to say that Clickbank sent me my first check ever. For how much you ask? For the amazing figure of $131.13

Let me break that down for you.

My First Year in Internet Marketing:
$10.93 per month
$2.73 per week
$0.39 per day

I'm checking to see if I can retire on that, one sec...calling accountant....
Damn it!

So no, I can't quit my day job just yet.
Well, we know it works, but it's not easy, and the promises in the sales pitch are a bit far fetched, but I'm still in Internet Marketing, and believe me, getting that check has renewed my interest tenfold. I'm working on a few projects (maybe too many), along with 30 Day Challenge and using some techniques I learned from MSS. I'm hitting the net harder than ever now - everyday, around my day job. I'm no longer a freshman. Let's see if I can double my success in 2010.

MSS Part 2?

Ok, so after my first 60 days with MSS, I was a bit disappointed with the results. Why? Because I made no money, that's why. Well, there is a small check from one sale sitting in ClickBank waiting for me to pass the threshold. But I didn't buy MSS to make $58, did I.

To tell the truth, after buying MSS, I've spent more money on a bunch of other things Jonny recommended to help boost my success...and I'm still spending money on the domain name every month. So MSS has successfully inserted a hose into my bank account, and started to siphon money out of it. Now I know why it's called Money Siphon System.

I started this post to say that I'm going to take another shot at the tons of material in MSS, and see if I can make my situation turn around with some other techniques I haven't tried yet, but now I'm hesitating and wondering if I'll just start pumping out money from my bank account at an even faster rate.

I'll let the readers of this blog vote: Choose if you would like for me to take another swipe at MSS, or if you would like for me to review a totally different product. If you choose the latter, write and say which product you would like for me to review. I was thinking about Shawn Casey's "Zero Selling System" but if you have a better idea, let me know. Vote on the poll on the right.

Selling Digital Products through Clickbank is Tough

So here's the breakdown so far with MSS:
I sold 10 products. Out of those 10 products, 9 got refunded. Here's the lesson I've learned that MSS doesn't really teach: you have to find products to sell that don't suck, which can be tough if you're using clickbank.

Hold the presses on Money Siphon System. I just made another $92.47 a few days ago (without my knowledge)using what I learned with MSS. I think that would make this a profitable experience - I'll have to do the math. It works, even if it's oh so slowly.

60 Day Money Back Guarantee

Because of my disappointment with MSS, I got my money back. I'm not saying it's a bad product, but I find myself spending more and more money the more I read, and not seeing the returns.....at least not yet. What I'm saying is that it did not meet up to my expectations - the sales page and testimonials were a bit misleading as far as I'm concerned.

Again, it's not a scam, I did learn some stuff....but I'm still broke. I'm ready to try something new. (but I get the feeling that there is nothing new out there. I started reviewing Google Slapper, and I'm finding much of the same techniques taught in MSS.)

The Truth comes out AFTER you buy the product

Unfortunately, the truth is slyly hidden in the mile long sales pitch that gets you salivating all the way to the bottom where it shows all the pretty pictures of the credit cards and payment methods that are accepted. That little piece of plastic is all that separates you from the dream life you always wanted.

You read like there's no tomorrow, you actually implement some of the suggestions, you whip out the credit card on another thing that's needed for the system to work properly, and then you do it again and again. Your conscience is starting to kick you in the neck, because it wasn't aware that you'd have to buy more things - it very naively thought that just that one purchase would be all. So $77 turns to $150, and $150 turns to $300 of money spent. Meanwhile, you are seeing no profits. You start to breath hard. You look for that money back guarantee. Then Jonny comes to the rescue with a timely placed heading entitle "Don't Quit or I'll Eat You" which really means "Ok, I wasn't completely straight up with you in the sales pitch, but would you have bought the product if I was? Here's the real deal - for most people, most of this stuff won't work your first try, or your second or third try, or ever. But I promise you, if you pleeeeez just keep trying and trying and trying (and not ask for your money back), I swear on everything that is holy - you're bound to make money doing something I show you - try it again, and again, and again. Try it for at least 61 days, please." Why? Because by then you won't qualify for the 60 day money back guarantee.

Ok, Jonny, I'll keep trying, but that 60th day is marked on my calendar, and my friend Google is going to remind me a week before, and everyday before the final date, that it's time to start seeing a profit - if not, quickly get your money back. But don't worry, the Internet Marketing industry is far from needing a government bailout. I'm sure I'll help keep the industry alive by spending it on another guru's product. So, all you gurus out there - get your ads to me ready, because I'm just a big sucker being handed to you on a silver platter. But your shit better work.

The "Spam" Just Went Out

The "spam" just went out, and I'm going to bed, so I'll let you know how it went tomorrow.
Peace and goodnight

My Warrior Forum Rant

I just posted this rant on Warrior Forum. Let's see if I get any help.

"Hi, I'm new to Internet Marketing, and I feel like my head is in a constant spin. The first thing I did was buy Jonny Andrews' Money Siphon System (he seems to be a very respected warrior in these here forums, everyone speaks well of him). So I go through the entire pdfs and videos, and at the end I was like "so what do I do?" Then he sent me a simplified guide on how to get started, so I read it and did it. Guess what it said?

Step 1: Go to clickbank, find a niche, and find 3 or 4 products to promote. Following his gravity suggestion, I chose the 3 highest things in the comptuer niche (Satellite TV and Reg Cleaners) I knew nothing about these products and never suspected that they would be scams at this point. I picked these because I am an IT tech (but never had any encounters with these products.)

Step2: Choose some keywords and buy a domain name and host. So I spent another $10 on that.

Step 3: Build a website. Done - it took me a whole day.

Step 4: Write some articles about the stuff. Now I know nothing about this stuff, so I Google satellite tv for pc, and read about it. This is when I come to the realization that I most likely picked a scam to promote. I feel like ripping my hair out, but I'm already bald. How am I supposed to write an article now? Then I noticed that within the Google top ten, some affiliates have written articles about how it is not a scam, and that it works great. I start to feel a little bit better, but also get this feeling that I should shell out $50 to find out for myself if this thing works or not, because these affiliates might be stretching the truth. But I won't. So I came to the Warrior Forum to vent because I'm at a crossroads. Should I continue to promote? Should I buy the product and review it? Should I swallow my pride and say I just wasted a whole day and some money on a domain name for a bad product, but I need to scratch this plan, and start a better plan? What the hell? Should I blame Jonny Andrews? What are these gurus teaching? Should I get my money back for MSS? Is there a better way to go about Internet Marketing thing?
I am so friggin frustrated at this point. Somebody please tell me where to go from here."

More "Spam" Sent Today

Well, today, more "spam" should be sent out to 81,000 emails. The last company sent to 60,000, and I got ZERO sales from it. In his video, Jonny says he gets good results with BizOpZine - the company sending my emails today. I'll let you know tonight how it went. And no, I've made no more sales since Oscar and Heimir - and I have been trying stuff, but it takes time, right? Let's hope. I'll see you guys tonight with my next post.

MSS in a Nutshell

Module 1: Try some of this and some of that, do it this way, and if it doesn't work, try it that way. Go here, here and there, and buy this thing and that thing. Mix it all together in the right way, and you'll be on your way to the top in clickbank.

Module 2: Do everything you did in Module 1, but do it this way and that way so that you can get paid every month. Throw in a little bit of this thing and that thing, and buy one more thing. Or do it for free...whatever you want to do, the world is yours.

Module 3: If Module 1 and Module 2 didn't work for you, you can always lose more money on PPC and AdSense. Here's how to do it.

Module 4: Ready to get freaky and psychedelic? Break out the bong, call Michael Phelps, and get ready to start trippin on some weird shit.

Module 5: Why waste your time with the first 4 modules when you can start making some real money....we're talking Oprah and Donald Trump type of money here. But make sure you have at least 2 years of experience in modules 1-4 first.

So, what are you waiting for? buy MSS today.

Overall Review

I've just finished reading and listening to everything, and it is waaaayyyy too much to decipher in one reading. It took me two weeks to go through everything and try to put some of what I learned into practice, and I work less than part time. Imagine if I had a full-time job (which I might have to go to real soon).

I learned a lot, and it's not a scam. I haven't made $3000 in two weeks like the girl in the sales page testimonial. In fact, I lost $42 in two weeks. I'm not saying that's the fault of the system, it's just that I have to work it a little bit harder now that I'm done reading everything.

I'm not all fired up about the system like the clowns in the testimonials because I realize that I now have to start over, and put in some hard work, and pray. Other newbies, like me, have told me that MSS had their head spinning because of the amount of information, and in some cases, the less than adequate explanation of things. (eg. Jonny kept talking about a swipe file throughout the modules. At the end, I still don't know what a swipe file is.)

So, here's my final review of MSS on a scale of 1 to 5 stars:

Simplicity: (3 stars)A newbie would learn a lot, but will probably feel frustrated at times, and would have lots of questions. Most questions are answered in the modules, but you have to dig and dig for the answers. Emailing Jonny might be easier.

Does what ad promised: (4 stars)The sales pitch wasn't too deceptive, but of course the big money results probably only happens to maybe 3% of the people who buy it (and according to Jonny, that's not his fault, it's yours if it doesn't work for you)(but he's available for help).

Sufficient Information: (5 stars) Excellent amount of information.

Quality of Information: (5 stars) Jonny gave a lot of good advice.

Customer Support: (5 stars) Jonny answers emails very timely.

Overall Pros: Not a scam, good info, usable, I intend to put lots of this stuff into practice, good support by author.

Overall Cons: Information overload, info could have been organized better, some of the audios and videos are way too long (1hr 30min is too long to hear two men talking on the phone in my opinion, just to get about 10 minutes of useful info).

Overall feeling: Exhausted, not too fired up because now I have lots of work to do to get this thing working. I'll keep working it, and keep on posting.

Overall Score: (3.5 stars) (I'm wondering already if there's a better system I can get)(I'll keep track of the 60 day guarantee period.)

Stay tuned to see if I get into some kinda groove with this thing.

Not a Scam

I will be finished with all the modules of MSS probably by the end of this week. I've learned a lot. I also started over from the beginning to refresh my memory. I realized that there are a lot of stuff I missed, so, it's a good idea after going through everything, to review everything.

Have I made money? Let's see, I paid $77 for MSS, blew $30 on a solo ad that didn't work for me, paid $45 for another solo ad that will run in about 2 weeks, and thanks to readers of this blog, Heimir and Oscar, I made $42 and $67 respectively in affiliate commissions. Much love to you guys. So I'm only in the hole at this moment at about $42. Not good, but I'm not upset because a week ago, I was in the hole at over $100. So, I see potential. MSS can work. I just have to keep working it, and I will.

So is it a scam? No. My take is that Jonny believes in this product and is not out to steal money. He doesn't give you just a piece of the puzzle and try to lead you on to another product for $1000, and another product for $5000, and another product for $10,000. He gives you everything you need. I understand that when he makes updates as he learns new stuff, he shares it with his customers at no cost. He makes himself readily available to answer questions too. Is it perfect? No. I think it does give a little information overload here and there, but nothing too bad. Is it worth the money? Yes. I'm glad I purchased it. What I learned in the last 2 weeks with MSS is good, practical information. Is this the end of the review? No, I will continue to post my progress until I feel I worked this system to the bone. I'm back at the beginning to implement some other strategies. Stay tuned for more posts this weekend.

Heimir and Oscar - I'm looking forward to hearing from you with your take on the products you purchased.

The Secret that Gurus Don't Tell You Directly

I was watching TV really late last night after intently watching another MSS video trying to find something I can use, and while flipping channels, I came across an ad for making millions on the Internet. The ad had people giving testimonials about how they went from broke and homeless to mega millionaires.

I was curious, because it sounded familiar. I checked Jonny's literature, and waddaya know? Jonny was broke and homeless too. I'm sitting in my home with a laptop, food in the refrigerator, clothes in the closet, a shirt on my back and shoes on my feet. I aint ever gonna make millions in this state of comfort.

Below is an actual picture of Jonny the week before he figured out how to make millions in internet marketing. As you can see, he always had a knack for advertising psychology, and he didn't really use the money for beer, but for Google AdWords.

How did Jonny know I would fail?

Interesting. The very next audio I listen to is a speech by Jonny on how to deal with failure. So, I guess I failed just as Jonny expected. He knew right where I would be when I experience my first fall on my ass, and he's directing me on where to go from here, which basically, is back to the drawing board to figure out why I failed and how to fix it. So, ok Jonny, I won't throw away MSS and give it a bad review just yet. I'll get back up and give it another try. Will keep posting.

End of Day Review

Well, it's the end of the day, and how did I do? No better than the last post, unfortunately. Not one sale. So, that may have been $30 wasted on that solo ad, unless someone's waiting for tomorrow to buy. I have another solo ad running on Feb 16 with what I think is a better company(hence the long waiting period), so we'll see if they can do better for me than zero. Shouldn't be too hard, it's only 80,000 people.

Jonny did say something in one of his videos about possibly having to send the ad 4 times to the same list before you see results. (I guess that's his disclaimer). Well, I'm not about to spend $90 more on this campaign, so...on to the next module for me.

6th Hour Update

Still at Zero money made with first email solo ad campaign after waiting 6 hours. Now I'm reading Module 4, which is about some weird ways to make money online. However, they're free ways, so I'll try some of these before I blow some more cash on stuff that won't work for me.

Email Ad Sent 12:52 EST Today

Well, this is my first real test of the MSS system to see if what it teaches actually works. I, as an affiliate, had an email ad sent for Jonny's Guru Assassin product to 61,000 subscribers for Home Business Opportunities. I'm expecting 6 people to actually purchase this product, netting me about $250. Faithful reader Heimir has higher expectations for me. Heimir, I hope you're right and I'm wrong. If your numbers are more accurate, I'll have to buy you a beer. But either way would be a success. So, I'll let everyone know the results by the end of today.

I have until February 18 to break this so called "Code"

I had a job interview today (just in case this online money making thing doesn't work), and I was hired. I start February 18. I dread that day, so I'm gonna have to speed up this MSS thing, and really try to make it work so that I won't have to go to that job. Wish me luck.

Oh, so far, module 3 is about PPC and AdWords....not my favorite topics in the world, but whatever.

1st Week in Review

The Cardinals lost the Super Bowl, Blagojevich lost his governorship, and I lost $109.87. How's that for a testimonial. Let's hope things get better with week 2.
